Leadership Training Programme

The Virtual Leadership Training Programme of the Student Council 2020-2021 was organized by the Student Welfare Committee to the Council members and all the Class prefects of PUC, Degree and Post-graduation on Saturday, 26 th September, 2020 at 10.00am. The online Programme was hosted on Microsoft Teams. The Opening Prayer was done by Ms. Joyce Metilda Irudayam, Department of Economics and the Bible Reading by Mrs. Rajkumari J, Department of Sociology.

The Principal, Professor Esther Prasanakumar addressed the students and motivated them on being an ethical leader during current situations. The first session of the Programme was on the topic ‘Leadership in Changing Times’ by resource person, Dr. Vijayashri R, Dean, M.Sc. Psychology. The second session dealt with ‘Challenges of Leadership in the Digital Realm’ by resource person, Mrs. Monisha Muliyil, Research Scholar, CMR University.

Both the sessions were very interactive and interesting to the students as the resource persons kept students engaged with lot of online activities such as drafting an Leadership vision board, Weekly progress planner etc.

This was followed by Question, Answer and Feedback session conducted by Ms. Renie Anthony, Department of Psychology. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Hemalatha M.S, Department of Political Science. The registration, attendance and distribution of E- certificates of the Programme was done by Mrs. Rachel Joshua, Department of Commerce and Ms. Sarala Sonia, Department of Chemistry.

The compere for the Programme was Ms. Rita Josephine Eve, Department of English.

Mrs. Monisha Muliyil completed her M.Sc. in clinical psychology from Kristu Jayanti college with a Bangalore University Gold Medal and began her career as a lecturer at St. George College, Bangalore and then worked as a special educator at Bangalore International School. She was Assistant Professor- Psychology at Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College from 2017 to 2019.She is currently pursuing her PhD at CMR University.
