The Bishop Cotton Women's Christian College Incubation and Innovation Centre is an initiative by the
institution to build capacity of the teaching and learning community on campus towards innovation.
The Centre follows the suggestion of the NAAC to provide a space for innovative practices and new
ideas that enable the development of faculty and students. In this Centre the institution's students
have come up with new and exciting projects, and start up business ideas. Faculty have evolved
innovations in teaching learning methodology and generated ideas for joint conferences on relevant
and contemporary themes, workshops that raise awareness about important issues and propose
solutions to systemic problems that affect individuals involved in business, academics and higher
education. It is also the space wherein new knowledge is exchanged between faculty and students
from institutions from outside and across the country. Students are given opportunities to explore and
hone their talents in writing, research, innovation and academics through various linkages and MoUs
that help bridge the gap between industries and academics.
The BCWCC Incubation and Innovation Centre hopes to continue to provide students and faculty with
opportunities to grow, evolve and address problems with a view to building a culture of analysis,
research and solution generation.
